Style is a Swedish pop group formed in 1983 by former Freestyle members Christer Sandelin, Tommy Ekman, and Gigi Hamilton. The trio entered the Swedish music scene with the single "Love Is Knocking on My Door/Längtar tillbaks till dig" in 1983, followed by "Telefon" in 1984, which reached number 16 on the American dance chart in 1985. Their debut album, So Chic, was released in 1983, followed by subsequent releases such as Visioner (1985), Heaven No 7 (1986), and Daylight Robbery (1987). The band topped Sweden's Tracklistan twice, with "Dover-Calais" in 1986 and "Empty Bed" in 1987. Style also continued to perform at Melodifestivalen, securing third place in 1986 with "Dover-Calais" and sixth place with "Hand i hand" in 1987. After disbanding in 1989, the group reunited for a nostalgia tour in 1998 and joined Melodifestivalen 2003 with "Stay the Night." In 2010, Style returned with the studio album Polyphonic. In 2025, the band was inducted into the Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame.
