Kenneth Knudsen, born on September 28, 1946, was a Danish-trained architect, self-taught composer, and keyboard player. He began his career as an autodidact musician while studying architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts until 1974. His initial breakthrough came with collaborations on over one hundred albums featuring notable artists such as Arild Andersen, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Miles Davis, and L. Subramaniam, as well as groups like Secret Oyster and Coronaria Dans. Knudsen released his album, Pictures, in 1977, followed by notable works including Anima (1979) and Heart to Heart (1986). He also composed music for ballet, film, television, string quartets, choral works, and pieces for piano, cello, and guitar. His compositions include the distinctive ringtone for Bang & Olufsen's BeoCom 2 telephone models.
