Artifacts was an underground hip-hop group from Newark, New Jersey, consisting of El Da Sensei and Tame One. Their debut album Between a Rock and a Hard Place was released in 1994. The group's first album, That's Them, was released in 1997, featuring production from Buckwild and T-Ray. Notable songs include "Wrong Side of da Tracks", which paid homage to graffiti art, and "The Ultimate (You Know The Time)". The group disbanded shortly after their second album but reunited in 2009 for performances at the Rock Steady Crew Anniversary Weekend. In 2013, they confirmed a full reunion and released new material on Redefinition Records. Their studio album, No Expiration Date, was released in 2022, following Tame One's death.
