Larry Maluma is a Zambian roots reggae singer and songwriter. Maluma relocated from Zambia to Australia in 1985. Maluma performs in a combination of English and the Zambian languages Nyanja, Bemba, and Tonga, blending these into a signature roots style. Maluma released twelve studio albums during his career. His discography includes the debut Hallelujah (1991), followed by Man & Woman (1993), Motion (1996), and Roots & Herbs (2000). In 2009, Maluma released the album Tusekelele - Let's Celebrate. Several of his recordings reached Number 1 on the Zambian music charts. Additionally, over fifteen of his music videos appeared on the ABC program Rage. Maluma is characterized by a distinctive vocal style and a focus on traditional Zambian musical influences.
