Lord Large is a British soul and acid jazz ensemble established in 2006. The group consists of the musicians Andrew Jones and Stephen Large. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by 1960s-influenced soul and Northern Soul. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording The Lord's First XI (2006), which received a four-star rating from the magazine Metro. The recording featured the musicians Clem Curtis, Linda Lewis, Dean Parrish, Roy Phillips, and Glenn Tilbrook. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the song “Stuck in a Wind Up” (2006) featuring Curtis, which received a three-star rating from the magazine Mojo. Their discography included the song “Left Right & Centre” (2006) featuring Parrish, which reached number 93 in the United Kingdom in 2016. Large achieved professional recognition for performing as a member of the ensemble Squeeze and touring with the ensemble the Ordinary Boys and the ensemble the Dualers. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing at the North Pole cocktail bar in Greenwich.
