Ingolf Wunder, born September 8, 1985, in Klagenfurt, Austria, is an Austrian pianist. He began his musical education at age four, initially learning the violin before transitioning to piano at 14. He studied at the conservatories of Klagenfurt and Linz, as well as the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. His breakthrough came with a second prize (ex æquo) at the XVI International Frédéric Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2010, where he also won special prizes for "Best Performance of a Concerto" and "Best Performance of The Polonaise-Fantasy op. 61". Following this, he signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon, releasing his debut album Chopin Recital (2011). He performed extensively across Europe, North America, South America, and Asia, collaborating with orchestras such as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France and the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra.
