Jack was a British alternative rock ensemble from Cardiff established in 1992. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by orchestral pop and for attracting a cult following in France. The ensemble was founded by the vocalist Anthony Reynolds and the guitarist Matthew Scott. They moved to London in 1993 and recruited the guitarist Richard Adderley, the violinist Audrey Morse, the drummer Patrick Pulzer, the bassist Colin Williams, and the claviériste George Wright. Their recording career began with the debut single "Kid Stardust" (1995) released on the label Too Pure. Jack achieved professional recognition for the debut studio recording Pioneer Soundtracks (1996), which featured the single "Wintercomesummer" and the single "White Jazz". Their discography included the studio recording The Jazz Age (1998) and the mini-album La Belle et la Discotheque (2000). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing at the Benicàssim Festival in Spain. Jack achieved professional recognition for the studio recording The End of the Way It's Always Been (2002) released on the label Les Disques du Crépuscule. The group became inactive in 2002.
