Ulf Hoelscher is a German classical violinist and professor born on January 17, 1942, in Kitzingen. Hoelscher achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by his interpretations of classical and romantic works and for performing as a solist with the Berliner Philharmoniker. Hoelscher achieved professional recognition for a career that began after he studied under his father, Ferdinand Hoelscher, and studied at the Curtis Institute of Music with Ivan Galamian. Hoelscher achieved professional recognition for the world premiere of the violin concerto by the musician Ole Schmidt in 1972, and the violin concerto by the musician Bülent Tarcan in 1973.
