Maggie Jones, also known as Fae Barnes, born on March 1894 in Hillsboro, Texas, was an American blues singer and pianist. She began her career performing in nightclubs after relocating to New York in 1922. Her debut recording session took place on July 26, 1923, for Black Swan Records. Jones was accompanied by prominent musicians like Louis Armstrong and Fletcher Henderson during her recordings. In the late 1920s, Jones performed with Bill Robinson in Lew Leslie's revue Blackbirds of 1928. Jones died on March 9, 1940, in Fort Worth from acute myocarditis.
