The King Sisters were an American big band-era vocal group from Pleasant Grove established in the early 1930s. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by vocal harmonies and for their first hit with a vocal version of the song "In the Mood". The group consisted of the siblings Alyce, Donna, Luise, Marilyn, Maxine, and Yvonne King. They achieved professional recognition for a career that began on a Salt Lake City radio station before joining the orchestra of the bandleader Horace Heidt in 1935. Luise King achieved professional recognition for marrying the musician Alvino Rey in 1937, after which the ensemble served as Rey's resident vocalists. Their recording career included recordings for the label Bluebird. The King Sisters achieved professional recognition for appearing in the musical Second Fiddle (1939) and appearing regularly on the radio series of the musician Kay Kyser during World War II. Their discography included the studio recording Imagination (1958) and the studio recording Warm and Wonderful (1959). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for hosting the television program The King Family Show (1965). The group members died between 1996 and 2013.
