Robert Jürjendal, born on January 10, 1966 in Estonia, is a guitarist and composer. He trained as a classical guitarist and later studied Robert Fripp's Guitar Craft, learning to play loop music. His experimental approach involved using a variety of instruments and effects, including an Ovation semi-acoustic steel guitar equipped with a MIDI pickup and a Roland VG-8 guitar processor. In 1995, his trio Weekend Guitar Trio won the first prize at the Lausanne International Guitar Festival. Jürjendal has collaborated with various artists including Riho Sibul, Tõnis Mägi, Tim Bowness, and Siiri Sisask. He composed the soundtracks for films such as The Measure of Man (2011) and Teispool vihma (2004). His notable albums include Source of Joy (2013), The Power of Distance with Miguel Noya (2019), and Across the Evening (2020).
