Théodore Paraskivesco is a Romanian-born French pianist and music educator born in Romania in 1940. Paraskivesco studied at the Bucharest Conservatory and received five first prizes. In 1961, they won the International Georges Enesco Competition, which led to a scholarship for further study in Paris under Magda Tagliaferro and Nadia Boulanger. Paraskivesco received the Prix Claude Debussy in 1970. They began teaching piano and chamber music at the Conservatoire de Paris in 1985 and was named a professor at the Conservatoire européen de Paris in 1995. Their recordings include Claude Debussy : Intégrale de l'œuvre pour piano (1980) and Erik Satie : Piano à quatre mains (1981). Collaborations include recordings with the singer Jacques Herbillon and the violinist Jean Estournet.
