Jacques Stotzem, born in 1959 in Verviers, Belgium, is an acoustic guitarist. At age 16, inspired by American guitarist Stefan Grossman, he began playing guitar and turned professional at 19. He initially performed with various groups before launching his solo career. Stotzem's album Straight On was released in 1993, followed by Two Bridges (1995). His later works include Catch the Spirit (2008), which featured covers of songs by Jimi Hendrix, U2, and the Rolling Stones, and Lonely Road (2011). In 2015, he released To Rory: Acoustic Tribute to Rory Gallagher, an homage to Irish guitarist Rory Gallagher. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the Verviers Resident of the Year: Artist of the Year in 2010 and Octave d’Honneur in 2016.
