Charles Webster, born in 1965 in Matlock, Derbyshire, England, is a British electronic music producer and DJ. Inspired by his parents' record collection, particularly Kraftwerk, he began playing in electronic bands and performing at local clubs. Webster's career gained momentum when he moved to San Francisco in 1992 and started the Love From San Francisco label. His early releases included "I Like It Deep" (1992) as Sine and "Gonna Find a Way" (1994) as Furry Phreaks, He also collaborated extensively with notable artists like Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and Kevin Saunderson. Returning to the UK in 1996, he founded the Remote label and in 1999 released All Systems Gone as Presence, to positive reviews. Webster continued to release music like Born on the 24th of July (2001) and Decision Time (2020) using his own name and under various aliases.
