Marylène Dosse was born on October 23, 1939, and is a French pianist living in the United States. She won first prize in piano in the class of Jeanne-Marie Darré in 1960. After successes in competitions in Salzburg and Naples, she embarked on a concert career and served as artist‑in‑residence for the University of Wisconsin, later becoming a distinguished professor at Pennsylvania State University. Her discography includes Debussy's Fantasy directed by Louis de Froment and Granados' Complete Piano Solo Works, both released by Vox. She collaborated with the Castalia Trio and received the Faculty Medal for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts and Humanities in 1999.
