The London Chamber Orchestra, a British chamber orchestra based in England, was established in 1921 by conductor and composer Anthony Bernard. The ensemble performed under various names before adopting the London Chamber Orchestra moniker for their first official concert on May 11, 1921. Under Bernard's leadership, the LCO continued to perform through World War II until his death in 1963. Christopher Warren-Green took over as Musical Director in 1988 and led the orchestra through significant performances, including the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011. The LCO gave more than 100 UK premieres, featuring works by composers such as Malcolm Arnold, Manuel de Falla, and Maurice Ravel. Notable albums include Minimalist (1990) and Vivaldi - Four Seasons / Concertos (1998). The orchestra's final performance took place in February 2024 at London's Cadogan Hall, after which it officially closed on February 18, 2025.
