A Cor do Som, a Brazilian group from Rio de Janeiro, formed in 1977. The original lineup included Dadi Carvalho on bass guitar, Mú Carvalho on keyboards, Gustavo Schroeter on drums, and Armandinho Macêdo on guitar. They initially supported Moraes Moreira's solo career before transitioning to an independent act. Their debut album, A Cor do Som, was released in 1977 under WEA Records. The group gained international recognition when they performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in 1978. Notable albums include Frutificar (1979), which featured hit songs "Swingue Menina", "Abri a Porta" and "Beleza Pura". In the 2000s, the group reunited and released several live and studio albums, including A Cor do Som Acústico in 2006. Their album Álbum Rosa, released in 2020, won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Portuguese Language Rock or Alternative Album.
