Mártires del Compás was a Spanish nuevo flamenco musical group formed in Seville in 1992, led by vocalist Chico Ocaña. Their debut album, Flamenco Billy, was released in 1995 under their own label, introducing the unique style of flamenco billy. The group gained recognition with subsequent albums such as Prohibido da el cante (1996) and Al Compás de la Llaga Dolorida (1998). The group signed with Warner Music Group, releasing albums like Empaquetado al Vacío (2002) and Simpapeles.es compapeles.son (2004). The group disbanded in March 2007 amidst internal conflicts. Their music was featured in films such as Año Mariano and Can Tunis, and they received the Biznaga de Plata at the Festival de Cine de Málaga for their film Ar meno un quejío.
