Clara Ebers, a German soprano, was born on 26 December 1902 in Karlsruhe, Germany, and trained under H. Kraus‑Adena and Eduard Erhard. Throughout the 1920s, she was involved with the Karlsruhe State Theater, the Mönchengladbach State Theater, and the Düsseldorf Municipal Theater. She joined the Frankfurt Opera in 1928, where she performed roles such as Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Gilda in Rigoletto, and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni until 1944. After the war, she became the Hamburg State Opera’s principal soprano, singing parts including Konstanze in "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" and Leonore in Il Trovatore. She retired in 1965, taught at the Hamburg University of Music until 1971, and died on 7 February 1997 in Hamburg.
