White Flag, an American punk rock band from Sunnymead, California, was formed in 1982. The original lineup included Pat Fear, Trace Element, Doug Graves, and El Fee. Their debut album, S is for Space, was self-released the same year. White Flag's early career featured a satirical image with anti-drug, pro-Reagan, anti-communist, and pro-Christian stances. In 1984, they released Third Strike, which included harmonies from Mike Ness of Social Distortion on "Middle Class Hell". The band remained active through the 1990s, releasing albums like Eternally Undone in 1999 and touring internationally. Notable releases include the EP Keepers of the Purple Twilight (2010) and Benefit for Cats (2010). Pat Fear passed away on September 24, 2013, while the band continued with members Trace Element, Jello B. Afro, and Mike Mess.
