Ana Lucia Ribeiro Caram, known professionally as Ana Caram, born October 1, 1958, in São Paulo, Brazil, is a Brazilian singer, guitarist, and flautist. She grew up in a family versed in musical expression and graduated from São Paulo University with a degree in musical composition and conducting. The musician became a protégé of Antonio Carlos Jobim and her career gained momentum when she performed alongside Paquito D'Rivera at Carnegie Hall for the JVC Jazz Festival in 1989. Her self-titled debut album, Ana Caram, was released in 1987, followed by Rio After Dark (1989) and Amazonia (1990). Her subsequent recordings include the albums The Other Side of Jobim (1992), Maracana (1993), Bossa Nova (1995), Sunflower Time (1996), Blue Bossa (2001), Hollywood Rio (2004), Pensava em Você (2018), and Pura Luz (2018). Her music blends bossa nova with jazz and samba.
