Ondrej Lenárd, born in 1942 in Korompa, Hungary, is a conductor who studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. In 1962, he started working as a choir master and opera conductor at the Slovak National Theatre. Lenárd's breakthrough came when he became the chief conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra of Slovak Radio in Bratislava from 1970 to 1990, later serving as its artistic director from 1993 to 2001. He has collaborated with international orchestras such as the Munich Philharmonic. Lenárd’s discography includes Overtures and Intermezzi (1981), Most Famous Waltzes (1988), and Italian Festival (1989).
