How to select multiple child terms?

I added a Business Category field to my content type and changed the widget to SHS. When creating a node, I can select a parent term and see its child terms. However, I'm only able to select one child term. Since businesses can offer multiple services, how can I allow selecting multiple child terms (services) under the selected parent?
