During 3 December ITRE Committee meeting, ITRE members engaged in a debate with Ms Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, within the framework of the Committee's structured dialogue with the European Commission.

At the ITRE Committee meeting of 3 December, ITRE Members had a topical debate on Creating Lead Markets to boost European Industrial Competitiveness, in the presence of DG GROW, European Commission.

At the ITRE Committee meeting of 20 November, Dan Jørgensen, Commissioner for Energy and Housing participated in a Q&A session with ITRE Members on current energy related issues including the State of the Energy Union.

At the ITRE Committee meeting of 11 November, ITRE Members held a topical debate on the future of the European automotive industry in the presence of external guests, including DG GROW, European Commission.

On 11 November 2025, the ITRE Committee held a Public Hearing on "Carbon Capture and Storage and Carbon Capture and Utilisation: pillars of industrial decarbonisation." Members had the opportunity to discuss current challenges on these important technologies with a panel of five experts.

The ITRE Committee took part in this year’s European Parliament Gender Equality Week by organising an exchange of views with the Representatives of the European Commission, DG GROW on The Role of Women in European Industry and Industrial Transition.

On Wednesday 5 November, ITRE and TRAN Committees held a joint meeting featuring a presentation of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) proposal by the Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, Mr Apostolos Tzitzikostas, and Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Mr Dan Jørgensen.
