I believe, so far, what I like the best about Articulate 360 is how clean it is. I love the simplicity of it. It is straight to the point, but also incredibly engaging at the same time. I also love how easy it is to use. With how we make modules now, it can be time consuming, but with Articulate, it cuts the time down in half for how long it takes to make a module. Super awesome! I know this is not the case for everyone who uses Articulate 360, so this is more personal than it is general, but my coworker and I wish that there was an easier to open a module made from Articulate when uploaded to our LMS. A lot of our stores use Chromebooks, and many people using these Chromebooks don't have every day access to a computer, so their computer skills are low. I believe that Articulate opening in a new tab can often times be confusing for those who are not skilled. Other than that though, no complaints here! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Articulate Storyline for about 15 years and am constantly impressed with their updates, training, and community. It's easy to search for solutions, find templates, and participate in the elearning challenges. They have a fantastic team of support techs and engineers. I like that I can create engaging eLearning courses with very few restrictions. Articulate products are industry-standard and the vast majority of clients are familiar with it, meaning that it is a tool that we use most days.

The online community is the best that I have seen, with support coming from staff and other users.

It can be frustrating when a bug appears in a course I've built that hasn't been caused by something I've done. For example, sometimes a graphic might be corrupt and break an animation or the way a slides loads. It can be very time-consuming trying to find the issue when it isn't something obvious or expected.

I don't like that every element on a screen defaults to being visible to accessibility tools. It would be more time-efficient for me to add only what I need to be included.

I would like to see some refinements made to the new localisation tools. I think that reviewers/validators will find the editing pane confusing for Storyline courses as the on-screen text is broken up in to a lot of different boxes. The process is a lot simpler for Rise and I would like to see the validation approaches for both Storyline and Rise aligned where possible (text styling, single editible text boxes etc). Having Storyline 360 for those complex, slide-based interactions and Rise 360 for quick, responsive modules means I can easily pick the perfect tool for the job without any hassle of switching platforms!

I love that I have access to a great selection of high-quality assets like images, icons, characters, and prebuilt themes. It saves me so much time finding visuals, and it keeps my courses looking sharp and professional.

Articulate 360 can feel pricey if you only use a few tools, especially for smaller teams or individual creators.

I began using Articulate 360 sort of late in the game so to speak. At this point, the product feels dated in terms of its interactive features and design capabilities. This is more specific to Rise (I don't have the time nor the bandwidth to become proficient in Storyline) and it sometimes the blocks feel played out and unoriginal. It's clear this was not always the case, but it is frustrating to read questions/feedback on E-Learning Heroes that were raised years ago with no movement or acknowledgement. I'm also bored of AI integrations when everyone just uses ChatGPT anyway. Articulate makes my work life easier by offering a product that is easy to use as an authoring tool, easy to share when gathering client and/or SME feedback, and easy to edit once that feedback has been received. I use it daily, and do not want to imagine designing without the tools that it offers.

The addition of AI technology speeds up the design process by helping me to build a training framework that I can quickly work to customize and build content out from. The addition of AI text to speech has saved me countless hours that were previously dedicated solely to the capturing and editing of audio content. If I am in a pinch for an image that fits a specific scenario, the AI image generation is a great tool that also results in time savings, and the feeling of a customized product.

Articulate 360 also facilitates a robust e-Learning community, comprised of fellow users that share their expertise, and are always willing to offer assistance when my project behaves in a manner that is not consistent with my expectations, or when I am looking for design inspiration. Their own support team is also top notch, helping troubleshot any technical glitches that may be encountered, and then improving the overall product based on the feedback that is received during these interactions. Articulate can be a bit glitchy - meaning that the application can freeze up unexpectedly during the design phase. On a positive note, a pop-up box frequently occurs that allows me to enter in exactly what I was doing when the error was encountered. Sometimes the issue will resolve itself, while the application is forced closed during others. The application does have a feature that auto-saves the design progress at certain intervals, which helps reduce the amount of design that must be re-entered. I appreciate the versatility of the Articulate Suite of products. I use Storyline to create my module scenarios, and Rise for the module design. It is so simple to publish the Storyline scenario and place it within the Rise module. Rise looks very modern and flows like a webpage, making the user's learning experience top notch. Rise makes creating eLearnings fast and effective, while Articulate Storyline makes custom courses possible. If you can imagine a scenario or interaction, most likely Storyline can make it happen. While Rise is changing a lot and becoming more customizable (especially with custom blocks), there are still aspects (like text over images for flip cards) that would be beneficial. There are a couple of things that I have seen mention or asked about in the Articulate community that have not been addressed in road maps, despite users asking about them years prior. I love the variety of features and ease of use that Articulate 360 offers for Leadership and Development training in healthcare. The platform allows me to create interactive learning experiences, which greatly engage our employees. Specifically, I appreciate being able to use different types of media in Storyline to really captivate my learners.
