"Ideal Accounting Solution for Freelancers"
What do you like best about Zoho Books?

I use Zoho Books for my small freelance business and I really like how it keeps everything organized and saves me a ton of time. The invoices look professional right out of the box and clients can pay online with one click, thanks to the flawless Stripe integration. Auto bank feeds and reconciliation save me so much time as well, eliminating any need for manual entry nonsense. Recurring invoices and payment reminders running on autopilot is another big plus, and the price is much cheaper than QuickBooks but still feels just as capable for a small setup. The mobile app is great—letting me snap receipts and log expenses on the go. I love how simple and clean Zoho Books is—everything just works without feeling overwhelming. It's straightforward, affordable, and keeps my freelance finances running smoothly without stressing me out. The switch from QuickBooks was smooth too, and the importing process was very straightforward. For a one-person business, Zoho Books helps me get paid faster and lets me focus on doing the actual work instead of chasing paperwork. Love it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Books?

Customer support can be slow: Chat is usually okay, but if I need something more complex (like a weird tax setup), ticket responses sometimes take 24–48 hours. Advanced customizations are tricky: Things like deeply customized workflows or reports take some digging into their developer tools or modules. Inventory features feel basic: If I ever need more than simple tracking, I hear it’s not as robust as dedicated tools. No built-in payroll in all regions: Payroll integration is limited depending on where you are. Occasional small UI quirks: Like the search function not always finding old transactions quickly, or needing a few extra clicks for some actions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Accounting with Multi-Currency Ease"
What do you like best about Zoho Books?

I like Zoho Books' user-friendly interface with its dashboard and the ease of understanding reports, making everything from creating an invoice to issuing a purchase bill very easy. I also like that it facilitates a multi-currency system, allowing us to issue invoices in currencies like USD, GBP, and INR. The initial setup was quite easy and self-explanatory, and we received customer support from the Zoho team, which helped us set up the whole process. I switched to Zoho because it facilitates our accounting and bookkeeping work and can be accessed through web login with just login credentials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Books?

Not as such but yes every product must need to update it self so I think Zoho Books can work on its bank feeds because sometimes bank feeds stop automatic and we need to redo steps to start again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Zoho Books: Intuitive, Efficient and makes life easy"
What do you like best about Zoho Books?

I love how Zoho Books helps me efficiently manage various aspects of my business, from tracking expenses and generating invoices to processing payments and handling tax compliance. It's fantastic at sorting these tasks, making bookkeeping, which can be a hassle, much more manageable. The integration capabilities, particularly in managing customer invoices and company expenses, are impressive. I really appreciate its ability to manage client contact information and employee management, including salaries and report generation for taxation. The multi-currency invoicing feature with supported payment gateways is a neat aspect, allowing for seamless payment collection. I value how transactions sync with bank accounts, listing all pertinent expenses automatically, making it straightforward to manage my finances. Zoho Books strikes a balance between complexity and simplicity, providing all the necessary features without overwhelming me, unlike more minimalist solutions like Excel or more complex ones like Tally. I also appreciate the ease of setup; it’s user-friendly and doesn’t initially require payment, so even someone without a technical background can handle it with ease. All these features together form an excellent package that is easy to work with and reasonably priced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Books?

I think the pricing could be lowered a bit for Zoho Books. While there is a starter package that is free up to a certain turnover, needing features like multi-currency invoicing requires opting for a professional package, which is expensive. This can be burdensome for companies without substantial turnover but in need of such features. I believe they should offer more flexible pricing to make these services more affordable for a wider range of companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Warning: Zoho Books Subscription Trap Exposed"
What do you like best about Zoho Books?

simple software but with limitation. not robust as MS Dynamics Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Books?

It all started with a simple decision: I wanted to cancel my Zoho Books subscription. The software wasn’t meeting my small business’s needs, and I figured it would be a straightforward process. I’d heard of companies making cancellations tricky, but I never imagined the ordeal I was about to face.

I reached out to Zoho’s customer support through their chat system, expecting a quick resolution. The representative was polite but unhelpful, directing me to a set of instructions on their website to cancel my subscription. They sent me a link to a help page titled “How to Cancel Your Zoho Books Subscription.” Hopeful, I clicked through, only to find a maze of FAQs and settings menus with no clear “Cancel Subscription” button. The steps described a link that simply didn’t exist. I double-checked, refreshed, and even tried different browsers, but it was nowhere to be found.

Frustrated, I contacted support again. This time, I was told they couldn’t cancel it from their end and that I had to follow the website’s process. I explained the missing link, but they insisted it was there and suggested I clear my cache or try another device. I did both—still nothing. Hours turned into days as I emailed back and forth, each response from Zoho pointing me to the same nonexistent link. It felt like a deliberate runaround, as if they were banking on me giving up.

Meanwhile, my credit card was charged again for another month. I realized I couldn’t trust Zoho to handle this fairly. Desperate, I called my bank and explained the situation. They flagged the charges as unauthorized and advised me to cancel my credit card to prevent further charges. It was a hassle—changing my card meant updating all my other subscriptions and payments—but it was the only way to stop Zoho from taking my money.

In the end, I got a new card, and the charges stopped. But the experience left me angry and betrayed. Zoho’s refusal to assist and their broken cancellation process cost me time, stress, and money. I’m sharing this story to warn others: be cautious with Zoho Books. Never give them your credit card details unless you’re prepared to fight to get them back. If you’re considering their service, think twice—there are other accounting tools out there that don’t trap you in a cycle of frustration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best ERP tool for SME businesses"
What do you like best about Zoho Books?

- Zohobooks is entirely cloud-based, which means that there is no need for maintaining and backing up of data at the source system, and team members can collaborate and update the data easily.

- Any kind of documents can be attached with the entries passed in the system, this helping in documents and invoice management (on cloud).

- It is a plug & play software, with minimal time required for set up.

- It has a lot of functionalities in-built like forex conversion and revaluation, taxes management, vendor payments, etc.

- It has excellent partnership with HSBC and a few other banks, because of which vendor payments and bank reconciliations are faster and easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Books?

The support team is a bit slower, and they are usually hesitant to take suggestions on product improvement. They work like a typical call centre. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Zoho Books : Solid, Efficient and reliable software with minor flaws and non revolutionary"
What do you like best about Zoho Books?

Like many other accounting software options, Zoho Books offers standard features such as invoicing, bank reconciliation, and inventory management. However, what stands out for me is the invoicing automation, including recurring invoices and the ability to connect bank reconciliation with the bank server. These features save time and make the process more efficient. Additionally, Zoho Books integrates seamlessly with other Zoho apps. For example, once our RM travel expenses are approved in Zoho Expense, they are automatically reflected in Zoho Books, which makes the workflow easy and very helpful. I have also found their customer support to be responsive, having received assistance twice through chat. I use Zoho Books regularly, and these are the aspects I appreciate most about the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Books?

One of the main things I dislike about Zoho Books is that it does not support managing multiple entities within a single account. This means we have to use separate logins for each entity, which is quite inconvenient. Another significant issue is that our sister concern operates in US staffing, so we work night shifts in India. During those hours, customer support is unavailable since it only operates during standard Indian business hours. Additionally, searching for transactions is challenging because I feel the search functionality is limited. Implementing Zoho Books from our previous accounting software was also a lengthy process, taking us several months, which was another drawback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly and Powerful Solution for Small Businesses"
What do you like best about Zoho Books?

Zoho Books is extremely user-friendly and intuitive, making it ideal for small and growing businesses. The dashboard is clean, well-structured, and easy to navigate. Key features such as invoicing, bank feeds, expense tracking, VAT handling, and reporting are very well integrated. Automation of recurring invoices, bank reconciliations, and reminders significantly reduces manual work. The cloud-based access and strong mobile app also make it highly convenient for day-to-day finance management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Books?

While Zoho Books is excellent for small and medium-sized businesses, it is not ideally suited for highly complex organisations with advanced consolidation, multi-currency group reporting, or detailed manufacturing costing requirements. Custom reporting is good but still limited compared to large ERP systems. Some advanced accounting features require higher-tier subscriptions, which may increase costs as the business grows. "A Game Changer for Small Businesses and Accountants"
What do you like best about Zoho Books?

What I like best about Zoho Books is how effortlessly it simplifies complex accounting tasks. From automated invoicing and payment reminders to real-time GST filing and clean financial reports—everything just flows smoothly. The interface is intuitive, so even non-accountants can use it without feeling lost. Plus, the automation features save me hours every week, which lets me focus more on strategy and less on manual work. It truly feels like Zoho Books was designed with the user in mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Books?

While Zoho Books is overall a fantastic platform, there are a few areas that could be improved. The biggest one for me is the limited customization in certain reports and templates—sometimes I wish I could tweak layouts or add specific fields more freely. Also, the learning curve can be a bit steep for beginners, especially when exploring advanced features like workflows or integrations. Lastly, while support is generally helpful, response times can be slower during peak hours. But none of these are deal-breakers, and the regular updates show that Zoho is actively listening to feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
