Honestly I think I’m cursed. Every TIME I read something it just ends up being a mediocre read. I am not even sure whether it’s because I get my hopes up. I think everyone knows what this book is about because its movie adaptation is THAT popular. I wish I watched it on cinema when it came out. One of my biggest regret of all time. Imagine watching a creepy zombie movie in a cinema? With its massive sound system? It’d be MAGIC ...more

I lost my father as a kid. A 13 year old kid. I was just so confused with everything. I kept hoping that perhaps it was all a dream and he’d come home from work in the late afternoon as I was playing game on the computer and he would ask me to stop playing and let him play instead. But the reality is that he never came home. No matter how long I waited for him. It was not a dream and I had to accept the reality.
So when I finished the book, I was overwhelmed with the feeling of gladness that the book is fictional and there’s no such thing as magical soil or land. Was Louis wrong? Yes, he was. Was his action awful? Yes, it was. What he did was utterly frightening. It chilled me to the bones.
But the scariest part is that I did understand him. That’s why deep down, I’m glad that it’s all fictional because I wouldn’t trust myself, if there were real magical soil or land and that’s what makes this book horrifying. It makes you contradicts yourself while you also know it’s so deeply wrong.
I gave this book 3 stars mainly because of the plot. It was extremely slow and everything was describe. So the dialogue weren’t that many. I was pretty tired reading it due to the length of the description. But again, this book made me think a lot after I finished it. It was definitely thought-provoking....more

This book is the best in the series by far. It has haunted village and cannibal ghost. Honestly, I didn’t think much of the first book. But then, the story captivated me. In other words, this series yearned me to continue reading it and this book right here is THE BEST in the series.
The characters in the book were hilarious, especially the skull. Sure, it was a wicked thing but I loved it ...more

Well, this book wasn’t as terrible as I thought it would be but it’s not spectacular either. I guess I’m one of those people who find this book merely mediocre. But then again it was published in 2005 and I bet it was spectacular and original back then.
Perhaps if I had read this book when I was a teenager, I would have loved it. This book is definitely an insta-love. Bella and Edward are just fascinated by each other the moment they met. What I don’t understand is how Bella keeps trying to get close to Edward when he says clearly that he’s dangerous for her. If somebody says that they’re dangerous to me, you can bet I would be “Right. Understandable. Have a good day...more
