This was a 4 star book until the ending. What a way to ruin a perfectly great book! The ending was TERRIBLE, it negates any goodness the rest of the book had. Very disappointed in this one, not sure I'd be willing to give Ashley Flowers another chance after this.

I felt the same way about the ending.
But it leaves interruption up to the reader! Sometimes I like when a book isn’t buttoned up at the end, ambiguity can be fun. ;)

i personally liked the ending, it mirrors how a lot of true crime can go and you don’t always know the answers
I don’t think the ending is nearly as bad as everyone has made it out to be. It is a bit frustrating but all of the true mystery of the story is wrapped up very conclusively and in a satisfying way. I really enjoyed the book!
I finished this last night and almost threw the book across the room. I can’t believe that was published.
I agree with you that the book is 4 stars before the ending, but I also think it gave a bit of realism of what could happen in real life and was definitely unexpected.
