“He, however, pushed her gently but firmly back down onto the bed. “Did I say you could move?” he asked with mock authority. “You lie back and open your legs.”
“Yes, sir!” she replied, equally mockingly but full of delight as she stretched her thighs apart. “But you can’t go to your meeting with that!”
Daniel looked down. “Why not? Maximilian Roth may be richer than me, but I don’t think he should forget for a moment who has the bigger cock.”

“I don’t want to tell you everything. Actually, I’m not sure I can remember everything. I spent a fair bit of time repressing some of those thoughts, and I don’t really have a huge amount of time for that psychobabble crap: a few things really are better left off where they are.”

I saw your post & followed it back to MJ giving his 2 pence worth. I totally agree with your sentiments & understand the personal nature to you, given your author status.
I couldn't quite understand how he could get so venomous and adopt that tone...
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, we know, but when they start shoving them down others throats...I start to question their drivers.
He comes across as an inadequate & frankly I had to laugh...
Try not to give the prat too much head space..enjoy your cake!
I've had a few hours peace and quiet today, so I started writing The Long Last Summer (having sketched out the chapters a few weeks ago). I'll tidy up the first chapter and post it here soon. Also, after the first edit (probably towards the end of March) I intend to make copies available as Arcs to advance readers to get some feedback before it's published :)
For the past few days I've become utterly obsessed - reading, re-reading, revising, rewriting... Haha, haven't even slept properly and the OH is giving me some strange looks! In an attempt to cure myself of my sickness, I've uploaded Orfeo and it should be available for Kindle tomorrow. Blah blah blah, lol (I'm so enamoured of this self-promotion malarkey). I now need to celebrate with an oversized glass of wine and then some sleep!!! Hopefully normal service will be resumed shortly - please do not adjust your TV sets :)
Been chewing through a number of romances recently, but really want to get through The Hunger Games which has been sitting in my kindle app for ages. Good job him indoors can't see how much I spend on books :-/
Shame GoodReads doesn't do a GoodVids as well. I've been reading a bit recently, but I must be honest I've also become completely hooked on Rome which was given to me as a box set for Christmas. Wowser!

What surprised me was publishers getting in on this. Anyway *shrugs* I felt better for a mindless rant, haha! Like Dawn and Willow, though, I'm tending to stick to complete books for now :)
M.J. wrote: "Okay - random rant (there's probably a more appropriate place to do this, such as a forum, but just wanna get something off my chest...)I've been looking through some books to add to my tbr list,..."
Couldn't agree more!! I've stayed away from these books for this very reason. I rather spend my money on a good few full length books. Xx
Kelly Favor started it with me followed on by Beth Kery. I didn't like the KF series and stopped buying early on in the game but Beth Kery? One of my favourite authors and to do what she did really P.$$ed me off and when it got to the last book it was lambasted as it ran completely out of steam. I note that she is about to start the same again this year but I wont be buying them unless they are available in a complete book (or set). I bought Disarm as a complete set and was happy to read it like that. Also the author provided a reason why they were released like this. What I have noted is that when a new book is published (say on Amazon for talking sake) it might start off reasonable but a soon as it gains momentum then the price is pushed up.So to be blunt do yourself a "favour" MJ and give Kelly Favor a miss unless you really want to be disappointed. For me they were childish, badly written and a complete rip off. Beth Kery......disappointed with this one and as I want to read them I will just have to be patient and wait for them all to be released but a lot will depend on the price.
Rant over :)

M.J I couldn't agree more, this is why I refuse to buy these "instalment" books! x
Okay - random rant (there's probably a more appropriate place to do this, such as a forum, but just wanna get something off my chest...)I've been looking through some books to add to my tbr list, and while adding one after a recommendation here (the Disarm series) it got me thinking. Now, these were released very quickly as a series of novellas and followed up with what looks like a full book in the space of a couple of months for £3.18 on Amazon.co.uk. That looks very reasonable and I will definitely download and read this. I'm glad that I didn't buy them separately, although that would only have come to £3.60 - hardly the end of the world!
Anyway... that's not what made me have a WTF moment. Two other writers keep cropping up for various reasons - Beth Kery and Kelly Favor and their Because You are Mine and For His Pleasure series. Now, the contents of these books might be of interest to me... but in the latter series there are 13 books at about £1.90 a pop and the former look to be little more than chapters at £1.49 each...
Okay, okay... not exactly sure where I'm going with this one - but in the instance of Kery this is something orchestrated by a "reputable" publisher, Headline, with a complete novel due in March for £6.29. That may be a touch on the expensive side for a Kindle book in my opinion, but it's still relatively reasonable if you really like a book (and I've certainly paid not much less than that for the odd title that I really want to read) - but £11.92 for eight separate parts and nearly £24 for the For His Pleasure series... what the hell!?!?!?
(Just off to lie down somewhere in the dark for a while...)
Willow wrote: "Hi M.J thanks for the add, I'm looking forward to reading your books, as you know the girls on the amazon thread cant recommend it enough! :-)"You're very welcome - agh! No pressure, lol!

Elf is stunning - up there with Bad Santa as an all-time Christmas fave ;)
Hey, I certainly don't mind the friend request!!! Looking forward to following your comments and also reading your trilogy...it's had some great reviews from what I've seen!
Got to get back to Wallbanger now.....had a little break to watch Elf....love that movie!
Happy reading :))
Just to say the complete Crystal Fragments trilogy is now up on Amazon for $5.99 and... £4.01. Okay' that last one didn't quite work (I have to guess how much VAT is added). I will change that, but I'm off to London for a couple of days so it will be done when I get back.

Thank you! And I hope you enjoy it :)
Yay!!!Have the final book downloaded from amazon as off this morning, can not wait for this day to end so can go home and be lost in reading this!!!
Today I'm adding some finishing touches to the Crystal Fragments trilogy (all three volumes in one). This will be uploaded and then should become available on Amazon in the next couple of days for $5.99/£3.99(ish! UK price may need some tweaking!)
M.J. wrote: "Update re. Refracted Crystal - Amazon.co.uk appears to be slow processing a localised price for pounds and so I have reverted to the default based on the US price. Hopefully it will appear in the U..."And it's finally up on the UK site.
Update re. Refracted Crystal - Amazon.co.uk appears to be slow processing a localised price for pounds and so I have reverted to the default based on the US price. Hopefully it will appear in the UK store tomorrow.
And just to add - I had worked on the last volume Refracted Crystal for so long yesterday I couldn't get it out of my head. As such, I pulled an all nighter and have completed the entire book, formatting and all. I've just uploaded it to Amazon, and it should be available tomorrow (December 2) rather than the 10th.
