Silver Linings seeks a highly motivated individual for the full-time position of Retail Sales Associate to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Retail Sales Associate will work 35 hours/week in Silver Linings’ Easton and St. Michaels store locations.  Pay is $20/hour. Reliable transportation and the ability to work weekends and holidays is required. Typical store hours are 10am - 5pm. The ideal candidate is mature, friendly, enjoys people, and highly values customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• warmly welcoming customers and offering assistance,
• learning about metals, gemstones, and jewelry in order to accurately answer customer questions and assist them in the selection process,
• offering suggestions based on customers’ needs,
• cross-selling products,
• building relationships with new and returning customers,
• answering and taking orders by phone,
• maintaining a clean and presentable store, displays, and cases,
• replenishing inventory as needed,
• and assisting in inventory management.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:

• retail experience (does not need to be jewelry retail experience),
• a strong work ethic,
• telephone etiquette,
• the ability to multi-task while remaining attentive to customers,
• the ability to take direction,
• a positive “team player” attitude,
• strong organization skills,
• and demonstrating customer service skills that exceed customer expectations.
