The Sacred Text Trilogy

is a three-album project by the SongAh Chae Trio inspired by biblical texts. Each chapter reflects a different source of inspiration: Genesis, the Gospels, and the Psalms.

The music does not illustrate these texts directly, but draws from their imagery and atmosphere, translating them into contemporary jazz through composition and collective improvisation. Across the trilogy, themes of creation, calling, and reflection unfold through spacious piano writing, lyrical melodies, and subtle ensemble interaction.
