Biografie
The band are currently made up of singer and guitarist Paul Banks, drummer Sam Fogarino and lead guitarist Daniel Kessler. Unlike many of their contemporaries, they are one of the few bands who came to prominence in the great indie rock boom of the early 2000’s to keep their creative spark alive into the new decade.
This is especially impressive considering that in 2010 the band's unofficial frontman, effortlessly suave bassist Carlos Dengler, left the band after growing tired of the touring lifestyle. Many thought that they would be rudderless ship after he left, but many were wrong.
Ever since they formed, the band had been an equal collaboration between every member. They’ve never had a main songwriter and still don’t have one to this day. With Dengler gone, a crucial element of that dynamic went with him but after a long break, they were able to return to their former glory with style.
They returned with 2014’s “El Pintor”, an album that went to the top ten on the album charts of both sides of the Atlantic and restored the bands mojo in thrilling fashion, with their icy, edgy post-punk never sounding more exciting and totally unique as it does now.
With experience and ability on their side, Interpol have quite simply never been a better band than they are today. They’re at their peak, and they’re only going to get better, so join the ride now, and you will not regret it!

Interpol were note perfect and Turn on the Bright Lights is one of the best albums in the last 50 years hands down but Alexandra Palace is simply a terrible venue for live music. It's not designed to be and it shows.
Because the floor is flat (unlike Brixton / Hammersmith Academy etc) you simply don't see anything unless you are 6'6". Therefore you don't really see the band and therefore can't really connect with them and what they are trying to do.. I wasn't the only one.. I saw scores of people who gave up and sat in the food area instead and heard a guy on the phone talking to his wife describing it as soulless and I couldn't agree more. I love the band and cannot blame them, they did nothing wrong but I will never go to another gig at Ally Pally again unless the ghost of Freddie Mercury rises for a one night only special there... Sorry Ally Pally but you are a rubbish music venue..

Disappointing ! This could have been a great concert by an excellent band in a beautiful venue - but unfortunately Interpol played a very short set, just 1 hr 10 minutes. Obviously the entirety of "Turn On The Bright Lights" was a given (since it was the 15th anniversary celebration of the album), but I expected several additional songs and they only played 3 titles as an encore. I have seen similar "celebration of album x" gigs by QOTSA, Jesus & Mary Chain and Peter Hook in the past and they all have been much, much more generous with their time (playing 6-10 songs on top of the celebrated album). Being a headlining band with 5 albums of material to choose from and playing less than 90 minutes is just scroogy, doesn't make the paying audience feel appreciated. Hell, their festival sets were longer than their headlining show - what's up with that !?!

I have been waiting to see this band for at least 10 years. I was so excited! My husband and I have been listening to them for years. We were skeptical of the setlist we found online, worried that we wouldn’t get to hear enough of their early songs, but we were very pleased! They played a really good mix of our favorite hits and some new songs that we and the crowd seemed to enjoy. We really enjoyed the show because they sounded great, awesome venue, great light show and ambiance, and the set list. They have such a unique sound. Overall, we were really happy and had a great time. My only complaint is the ridiculous fees that Ticketmaster and live nation charge! Otherwise the ticket price was more than reasonable. I would see them again for sure!

Interpol is my favorite band, and seeing them live is always a powerful experience, largely because I find their music so moving and beautiful. Plus Paul Banks is so damn fine, and I always melt when I see him! They always show love for the fans, doing some old favorites as well as new material. I’ve seen them at Keller Auditorium, The Cloud Theater and at Pioneer Square, all in Portland OR, and I treasure every experience! I was able to get close at the Outdoor performance, and seeing Paul up close made me weak in the knees! Every time I scream like a teenager seeing the Beatles LOL! Glad they are getting rest, especially since Paul has a new Bride (sigh) but I hope they get back on the road soon! I can’t get enough!

As usual, Interpol were amazing. I saw them at Electric Ballroom in London last summer and Copenhagen a few days before Roundhouse and I love the fact that this time they added a few songs from Our Love to Admire which is one of my favourite albums.
Only thing is that the sound wasn't great this time and the crowd was rowdy and disrespectful to such a stylish and civilized band - no mosh pit, please! Of course, you can't blame the band but it did affect the experience for me.
Extra praise to Daniel Kessler who played almost as well as he looked (this means he played spectacularly). Loved the suit, as always. Will definitely be there when they visit Denmark this summer.

I was in there few days ago in Köln, we were an 8 group of friends coming from Mallorca (Spain) just for that concert.
Our main feeling was that the show was too short, barely 1h15', I know that the band can't play everyone of their beautiful songs, but they forgot a lot of them.
Maybe the german public is too 'cold' and they decided to finish earlier, almost anybody were moving and feeling the band in a 'physical way'.
I guess the band is gonna play much more time in other cities of the tour.
But for us was a deception to travel to Köln just for that short concert.
I hope to feel their music and see again Interpol ASAP, but in a better show.

this concert was a great moment, one that you'll always remember, as Interpol is precious; Their musique is EXACTLY what I love, and why rock'n'roll music is so crucial for me. The show was as usual too short with them , 1H30 , this is just a preview ! but such a great one, with many good songs, not necessarily the easiest but exactly why Interpol has a real great place.
those who said that the departure of Carlos D would kill the group were wrong; the new bass is very good, and their last album is a classical for me. I really enjoyed this concert and look forward to seeing them again soon ( may be rock en seine, please !)

The feeling at Le Trianon on September 6 was so inmense I am taking time to write a review to these men. Precision is the reason you must see this ensemble live. The floor was shaking the lights where blaring. It was a mist of red and green and low soundwaves thar carry into the heart. Turn on the Bright Lights live is a must see. Kesslers and Banks simoultanously breath life into their guitars to finish The New with grandeur. Fogarino is a mighty lion in Say Hello to The Angels a song worthy of enough silly dance moves to last your life time.
Go. Do it. See it. Hear it. Live it.

Juste fantastique...une playlist plus originale, proportionnellement plus de morceaux des deux premiers albums que des trois derniers...
le choix des morceaux moins évident, que d'habitude, moins de tubes, comme si Interpol voulait se faire plaisir en jouant ceux qu'ils n'ont pas joué depuis longtemps (exemples NYC, Say hello to angels, Stella was a diver....Take you on a cruise)...
Merci à eux de se faire plaisir tout en ne boudant pas le nôtre...

Such a nice show! A very electrifying performance. The sound of this band on stage is so good and faithful, just like on the records but with a refreshing touch to make the evening special.
This show in particular to celebrate the 15 years of one of the most iconic albums from the 2000's was accompanied with some additional surprises from the band; playing some of the most popular songs from other albums at the last part of the show
