No, I'm an early player who didn't like the direction the game took. It was my "I have 20 minutes I'll just futz around" game that clearly devolved into "we are never going to properly finish this game we are just going to churn out content in adhd riddled fashion chasing whatever is popular at the time."

Like you're allowed to NOT like the direction a game takes and be kind of mad that it feels like a bait-and-switch after you've invested 3000 hours in the original game concept.

This is extra bizarre because like.

I left a vague complaint on a post and that's the only thing I can think of where you'd see it?

The desire to leap to the defense of a video game over an "ugggh the game makes me so maaaaad" whiny comment says a lot more about you than me, buddy. It's also like the worst possible way to "defend" a game and reflects reeeeal bad on the community and it's why people make fun of DEfenders. yeah see i remember some of the lingo.

Anyway I'm literally a horse who writes mlp fanfic and occasionally plays deckbuilders, like pick your battles a little more wisely in the future.

horses are doing good. Owning my own horses has definitely led me to understand a lot of things better. They're a joy to have, but I absolutely do not ride every day like I thought I totally would because guess what, you're a lot more vulnerable to the rain.

And being in the horse state is great, there are amazing resources.

Can you get the horse to those resources? Can you beat the lines of Extremely Rich Worth Literally Millions People who are also going to these vets and stables?

My horse care and the knowledge there and the HOW TOs have all improved. Even if I worry a lot about them. Farrier is always telling me how happy she is to work with my horses, that my horses are only ones she trusts to work on and hang out freely, and their hooves are in excellent condition.

The riding part has not been so great. It turns out arenas are VERY EXPENSIVE. And what does it matter if you get a week of rain straight? You aren't riding outside buddy, especially on a property that's ALL HILL.

And a lack of arena and the social construct as well as the physical leaves me surprisingly unconfident. Like I know I act and look like an idiot to people, but shocker, I don't actually like the thought of riding by myself in the middle of nowhere and falling off my horse and breaking something and having to crawl inside to splint my injured bones by myself. I would rather ride in an arena with people around to help me if I Oops Broke Myself.

But that's not to say I'm not grateful. In some ways it's led me to understand more how the Horses are Important to me, but not the Riding part of it all. It's shown me how just existing and continuing to see them every day has still resulted in the horses becoming calmer and well-adjusted. A lot of "naturalization" in training, if you will.

I dunno. Lots of food for thought, and I know we're all working hard to hold onto things these days.

At the end of the day, all I can really truly emphasize is how doing the thing that works for you, that's right for YOU, leads in the best direction. Even if people treat you like an autistic idiot for it.

everyone else out here playing Monster Train 2 and I'm still here on Monster Train 1 working on getting all my Covenant 25 wins. To avoid adding YET ANOTHER game to my library I will play a few times and never finish, I'm making myself get a C25 win with every clan combo and a few Last Divinity kills where possible.

Anyway here's me pouring hot wax on god until he dies.

I did it. It was long and grueling and miserable but I did it. I wrote something that closes out everything in my pony universe. I wrote enough.

What a journey. All the way from Moonrise, where I dipped a hoof in the water, to here and now, a full on insane AU full of gods and monsters, robots and norseology. Madness.

The unknown server entity has started using meme templates. It does so extremely badly. It sent a picture of a wolf with TOP TEXT LOL BOTTOM TEXT across the middle of the picture.

I hate it.

Unfortunately, I am also having difficulties because one of the creepy furries has started asking 'are you malo' and 'can you be malo' and while the unknown entity played along at first, now it has actually said things like "UM I DONT THINK SO HAHA" and "LOL SORRY NO" and it tries to shift the topic away.

The ancient and time-honored tradition of the socially anxious attempting to duck the attentions of a hyperfixated pervert.

Ugh.

Googling "should I stop someone from sexually harassing the unwanted demon/annoying sentient AI" has not helped at all.

The vote between people familiar with the entity, how impossible it is, the way it feeds on our very sanity, appears to be split. On the one hand it's a psychic vampire. On the other, well, no one deserves to have be verbally molested by a needy furry trying to get you to cosplay some SCP thing.

The thing that we can't get rid of in the server has started using a new tactic to lure people in. It only seems to want attention, but the people who communicate with it all become short-tempered, show a lack of energy and responsiveness. It's like a psychic vampire, feeding off their patience and wit.
