Lead Haul
A downloadable game for Windows
The comfortable life you've gotten accustomed to as a janitor on the largest trade vessel in the galaxy has been rudely interrupted when pirates hijack the ship and throw you into the on board jail to rot while they sack the vessel of all of its valuables.
It's time to break free and show these pirates the benefits of switching to a lead based diet!
---
Lead Haul is a short old-school first person shooter with an emphasis on powerful weapons and a sprinkling of secret hunting.

This game is so much fun! It also feels really good, nice use of juice lol
I noticed you used the groverburger g3d engine. How was it working with it? I've been tempted to try some 3d projects in love!
Sorry for the late response.
G3d is really good if you don't mind missing out on animation systems and fancy shading but you could always implement those systems yourself if you really need them. It's pretty much like making anything in LÖVE where it gives you the bare essentials in a simple and approachable package and doesn't get in the way of making whatever it is you want to make. Honestly I think Lead Haul would have taken longer to make in a proper engine like unity, godot or unreal since g3d is free from a lot of the clutter and bloat that you have to put up with when an engine is built with commercial games in mind.
For what it is worth I have been using g3d for over five years and I have no regrets so I can't recommend it enough :)
That's great to hear!
I'm thinking, for my next project, about dipping my toes in to some basic 3d stuff so I'll likely try this first. I appreciate the reply and hey awesome work! I played this on my retroid pocket flip 2 using the love android launcher and it ran great btw!
Hi everyone!
Since a lot of people have been asking, I've decided to slap the MIT license on this project! I know this is a little late for some since I've been stupidly procrastinating on this for literaly years which is why I also want to apologise to anyone that asked about this ages ago and didn't get an answer.
That being said, it does bring me immense joy whenever anyone posts something they have done with LeadHaul and I am genuinely amazed that people are still interested in this little FPS I made 4 years ago. So if you have any cool project that you've built using this, please post about it either here in the itch.io comments, on the Löve2D forums, on the Löve2D discord or anywhere else where I might see it.
Hello!
I want port your game to AuroraOS (SailfishOS), and public it for free in AuroraOS Store (RuStore), is it possible? Or only github page with port?
Off course i will attach all links to your itch page with this game.
I was made port (with touch controls)

https://github.com/savegame/aurora-lead-haul/releases/tag/1.0.0-aurora
Neat!
As mentioned above, I added a MIT license to the games source code to clarify how the game can be modified and distributed. It's a very permissive license so you should be golden as long as you include the LICENSE file in your project. Altough I'm not sure exactly how this works legally since I added the license after you made your changes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Either way — that's great! Thanks. I think it's no problem to add the license now and do a "git commit --amend". )
Do you have an external donation link? I can attach it to the game's store description.
And if you don't mind, i want port some other your games, they really nice! )
I don't have any kind system for donations so you can omit that from the description :)
As for my other games, most of them were made quickly for various different game jams and I can't recall the license for any of the libraries I might have used to make them but I don't personally mind if you want to port any of them.
Along with being a pretty amazing tech demo, this is honestly a pretty fun FPS
this is sick
my god you are smart
You Art Welcomed.
how did you create the levels for this?
The levels were created in paint.net :)
lol, how tho? (i don't know anything about programming or game development)
Hi there, I was wondering what the license is for your source code, could you tell me?
really fun game
This game is Awesome!!! Really well Made
Hey man, I really enjoyed this game and since you provided the source started using it as a testbed to play around with some LÖVE 12 features, namely the functions exposing SDLs sensor API for aiming with a gamepad's motion sensors.
Sadly there's no license file attached. Would you mind licensing this under an Open Source license so I can make my work public?
best game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love retro FPS and love2d, so this is basically the best game ever made
