In China, there’s a growing market for renting smart glasses to help you cheat on your tests.

Great. Eventually we’ll have a whole nation of workers who faked their way in and do not have the skill or knowledge to do a job. Everything will start to fall apart after a while. Other than saying to mom or pop “I passed” this is the worst possible thing any true student could do.

We already have a whole nation of workers who faked their way in and do not have the skill or knowledge to do a job. Everything is already falling apart.

Just look at the US government.

I thought they faked their way and sucked sweaty balls though? Imagine if everyone could do just the faking part and skip the sweaty ball licking? Young people will have no idea what it was like and no respect for the ball lickers.

I mean, with faking your way through so much easier, now the ball licking is all that’s left. We’ll have an economy that’s 100% based on sweaty ball licking.

All you motherfuckers are going to pay. You are the ones who are the ball lickers! We’re gonna fuck your mothers while you watch and cry like little whiney bitches. Once we get to Hollywood and find those Miramax fucks who are making that movie, we’re gonna make them eat our shit, and then shit out our shit, and then eat their shit which is made up of our shit that we made them eat. Then all you motherfucks are next!

Sigh. When I was at uni, we actuallly had to study to pass the course. We LEARNT. I pity the next generation who are gonna have doctors and scientists who cheated on the exams. Got cancer? Oops, your doctor cheated on that exam. Guess you just gotta die then.

I mean, this could have a roundabout benefit of us having to rethink education not as teaching kids to regurgitate facts but maybe as taking a more hands-on approach.

You learn more from experience anyway so maybe we do need to overhaul our education systems.

Yeah. I feel like doctors have more hands on shit that would still create a heavy filter.

I’m more concerned about the people building cars, planes, trains, etc.

I remember going to a church school in the deep south for 1 year. Guys had to wear long pants and button down shirts. Girls had to wear long skirts or dresses. The rules book still stated clearly that rock and roll was the devil. I have some good memories, but it was definitely a rough time for me.

A classmate used to lean over and copy my answers and wouldn’t stop when asked. I’m no snitch, but I got sick of it one day, so I added +1 to each answer before I wrote it down. Then after he turned in his test I pretended to check my work and subtracted 1 from everything. Teacher must have been really confused by the guy who was one off on every answer. :D

I use to spend more time and effort puting cheat sheets into my TI-85 than i would have spent just actually learning the material.

But, by the time I was done. I usually had covered everything I needed that I rarely even looked at the notes I put in it.

Test anxiety was a major issue for me. And just knowing I had notes would really calm my nerves. Which basically just made me calm enough to not even need them.

This really is what modern tech essentially does most of the time these days: steals and/or cheats. The tech it produces is to aid in stealing/cheating. I mean, LLMs and image-generating AI were loaded up with stolen content in order to function. I still can’t get over that, yet apparently it’s all good, no laws broken–and has been fine this way for years now. Back in the olden days when i went to school, cheating was a punishable offense. Now it’s proof of how ‘clever’ one is. Fucking bullshit from top to bottom.

Theft has always been allowed as long as that theft is for the benefit of the ruling class of society. It’s not new with AI. It’s just a different application of it and at the scale that modern technology allows.

When I took my board, I had my phone locked up, my glasses checked, and I had to do a palm scan. We were also filmed and monitored in a little room that felt like a fish tank. If we left for the bathroom we’d lose time and have to do the whole screening over again.

Lol where there is will there is way. Like that south park episode on cheating. This one seems a bit lazy though.
