Blood Moon Lavinia

A break from Christmas cards today - this is a Lavinia stamp card I made back in the summer  and was inspired by some of the stunning Blood Moon nights we saw at the time.  I made the background initially with distress oxides then used an Inkylicious Moon stamp and a cloud mask before stamping the gorgeous Lavinia silhouette images.
It's a Violet day today today, so off to  collect her shortly - love Violet days!

Getting Alcohol inky with Inkylicious!

It was my baby's birthday in the week (she's 24 now!) and always think I have to get a little arty with her cards, as she is in her final year studying art at Camberwell School of Art in London!  (I'm sure she must laugh when she sees my attempts!  Anyhoo, I resorted to Alcohol, the inky kind as opposed to the drinking kind, and made my background using mostly the light blues/lilacs with some Rose Gold mixative which is such a lovely pinky, goldy, silvery colour as below!

I then hunted out my Inkylicious stamps and thought this eye with it's sentiment would be just perfect for an artist.

I mounted the Yupo piece on a slightly metallic matt and then a dark blue one, and that was it - and quite pleased I was too!

Happy Birthday my lovely!

Wedding card

I can't believe that it is already over a week since my niece Lily got married.  It was a fab day and the weather was so kind!  There's a picture of the Happy Couple below.

I started  off wanting to use this sentiment from Inkylicious and it fit perfectly into this frame on a new die from Marianne Designs- Anja's Marquee set - LR0483.  The papers are also Marianne and I took my colour scheme from these - they're so gorgeous!  Anyway, full list of Marianne products below the next picture.

Anja’s Roses Corner Die – LR0214
Anja’s Roses Border – LR0212
Petra’s Holly Die – LR0384
Wedding Couple – LR0427
Leaf Flourish – LR0120
Romantic Vintage Papers – PK9093
Lace
Silk Lace -JU0915
Gems - JU0937

I inked through all the dies whilst the die cuts were still in place as it does add a lovely vintage feel.

I coloured the silk lace with my promarkers to match the colour of the card and then added a few pearls and sparkles and I was done.

And below are the new Mr and Mrs Ogilvie!  Congratulations to a fabulous couple!

Vintage wedding

I made this wedding card for the daughter of one of  my oldest and dearest friends, who got married at the weekend.  We weren't able to make it to the evening celebrations but I'm sure their day was wonderful.
I used papers from Scrap and Craft for the vintage style and cut out the gothic stained glass window with a Memory Box die, and used the off cut to stamp my sentiment from Inkylicious. I made the little frame below using some Cloud  Air clay so it's nice and light and the tassels were made with a Marianne die - Tassel Fringe Die set LR0391.

Oha and I made a box to match with a Paper Trey Ink stamp for the sentiment and a Martha Stewart Punch Round the Page set for the border.
There are lots of bits and pieces from stash too, including some bits of vintage lace, a Memory Box rose corner die, , peals and muslin.

Thanks for stopping in peeps!
