まだ知らない君がいる!(I don’t know yet, there’s you!) ft. Miku and Teto by Sheeno Mirin
(I somehow only found out about this artist a few months ago.)
(I listened to their music a lot at some point last year.)
Zunda Ranger ft. Zundamon by namigroove
Also has some interesting background info about the movie: https://www.namigroove.com/movie/movie-7134/
Daidaidaidaidaikirai by Amala is a really fun song that features the two dominant vocal synths of the past few years with very good tuning
I have not been able to get this out of my head since I first heard it…
…that was months ago.
The Hole by r-906 may not be very representative for the vocaloid community but showcases the possibility as vocal synths as instruments really well
This one is really unique. I hadn’t seen this one before, thanks for sharing.
Edit: Nevermind!
As much as I love this song (and MIMI in general), it did come out in 2026, though it was January 2nd.Thanks, missed that bit. I think I am going to keep it to just 2025 for anime because of the seasonal structure of the shows, but it makes sense to be more flexible in this case.
With some rule clarification out of the way, I have a nomination:
Spoken For ft. Kasane Teto by Flavor Foley
It’s a catchy as hell song, but also a great mix of fun and fucked up. It also features both the SynthV and Utau versions of Teto.
Thank you! <3
Thank you for thanking me!
Thank you for thanking me for thanking you!
Meta question:
I am planning on making a similar post for the !anime@ani.social community sometime this week. I wasn’t sure what kind of criteria I might want to include about the “international hit” rule. I was thinking about limiting nominations to songs with less than a set number of youtube views or something like that…but wasn’t really sure how to apply that. Wasn’t sure if you had any thoughts.
I guess that would be good. I assumed that Vocaloid is niche enough to not have any „international hits“, but songs like „Miku“ by anamanaguchi are probably still too mainstream.
I think something like 1m views on YouTube should be a good limit to exclude the mainstream while still allowing artists that are popular within the community.
Edit edit: Looks like there really isn’t anything to worry about. I suspect that your initial hunch is right that vocaloid is niche enough to not worry about it at all. I don’t plan on limiting it in any way for the anime community.
I think you’re probably right about vocaloid being niche enough to not worry about it. I was thinking more like 10 million views for my case. Looking over some of my favorite anisongs from last year, that would restrict about half of them. I’m not as plugged into the vocaloid scene, but that would eliminate stuff like Static and Birdbrain, while still allowing stuff like Flop Era or Magic Maid.edit: I just asked for clarification in the lemmyvision thread. Are songs in which the vocaloid is not the sole singer allowed? (i.e. it features non-vocaloids)
Are song made for anime allowed?
I guess, as long as the vocaloid is the main focus

Just a heads up that the lemmyvision rules say that it has to have been released in 2025.
Oops, right
