Time for WEST studio tour!

It’s time to add the West Austin Studio Tour to your calendar for May. The dates are May 12 – 13 and 19 – 20. I’ll be showing paintings at Phillip Wade’s Studio, 1202 Lorrain, Austin 78703, as I have for several years. Please plan to stop by between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on those dates to see lots of my new paintings at special event prices.
Here’s the painting that is featured in the West Catalogue, which you can pick from Austin Public Library locations starting a couple of weeks before the event.
Daylily Garden

This painting, “Daylily Garden” was accepted into the Bosque Art Classic 2016 along with two others I’ll post later. I am again delighted to be chosen in this nationwide competition. The show will run September 10 – 24 at the Bosque Art Center in Clifton, Texas.
I find that these days I paint subjects that show joy in the small pleasures of everyday living.

This painting, “Gypsy,” will be on display at the Dougherty Art Center, 1110 Barton Springs Rd., during the West Austin Studio Tour. There will be a fundraiser there on Friday, May 13, from 7 – 10 for people to see samples of all the artists’ work who are in the Tour.
30th Annual Bosque Art Classic
I am happy to announce that one of my paintings, “Fine Stitching”, was accepted into the 2015 Bosque Art Classic. The show is a national competition, and this year only 100 entries were chosen. This prestigious show is in Clifton, Texas, and will open September 12 with a reception banquet and awards presentation. The paintings will be on exhibit at the Bosque Art Center until September 26.

Landscape Show at Austin Art and Frame
This painting, “Garden”, is one of seven of my painting that will be on display during the Landscape Show at Austin Art and Frame. The opening reception is Sunday June 7, 2 – 5 p.m. The address is 2805 Bee Cave Rd. (It’s in the shopping center with Trader Joe’s and next-door to Amy’s Ice Cream.)

W.E.S.T Austin Studio Tour 2015
Please come see my artwork at this spring’s West Austin Studio Tour. I’ll be showing many recent paintings at the studio of Phillip Wade, 1202 Lorrain, Austin 78703. We’ll be there both weekends: May 9 – 10 and May 16 and 17. Hours are 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Austin Art and Frame show
I’ll be showing this painting, “La Belle Helene” and 9 others at a show at Austin Art and Frame, a new gallery located at 2805 Bee Cave Rd. (next to Amy’s Ice Cream). Opening reception is this Sunday, Feb. 15, 2 – 5 p.m. I’d love to see you there.
Austin Visual Arts Association Membership Show
I would be delighted to see you at the Austin Visual Arts Association Membership Show this Saturday, September 20. The reception is from 6 – 8 p.m. at Austin Art Space Gallery, 7739 Northcross Drive (behind the Wal-Mart off Anderson Lane). It’s time for the W.E.S.T Studio Tour!

Come to our opening party to help us kick off this year’s West Tour on Friday, May 9, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Phillip Wade’s house, 1202 Lorrain, Austin, 78703!
This painting,”Lotus and Lilies,” and about 30 of my other paintings, will be on display. If you can’t make the opening party, drop in between 10 and 5 on the weekends of the tour, have refreshments, visit with me and my artist friends, Phillip Wade and Ellen Willis, and look at lots of our art. You can pick up catalogs and maps of the whole tour at any library branch. Hope to see you this weekend!
Austin Visual Arts Association Fall Show
I’ll be showing this painting in the Austin Visual Arts Association Fall Show. It opens this Saturday, Nov. 2, at Austin Art Space, 7739 Northcross Drive with an opening reception from 6 – 8 p.m. I hope to see you there.
