I can’t help but find this sentence amusing. If born deaf, aren’t they hearing for the first time? I know the explanations for this, but it’s still sloppy writing, IMHO.

I’m MUCH more motivated by helping solve problems for others than for myself. My existence in a world run by self-centered control freak assholes too short-sighted to see the value in other approaches to life has made for an incredibly miserable waste of potential and purpose out of my so-called “life.”

Of course the cops keep using it - payments from the inevitable lawsuits don’t come out of their pockets, so why give a shit when there are quotas to make? No accountability breeds irresponsibility.

I use a Firefox variant and various extensions like Bypass Paywalls Clean (which is NOT available on Mozilla’s repository), and never see that crap. I don’t care what the extensions are doing behind the scenes to get rid of the crap because the law is a joke anymore (as proven by the current White House occupant) - if they want to go after you, then they’re gonna find a way to get you no matter what. They want lawlessness for themselves? Then I’m gonna play their game, too.

So, Netflix may still win in the end by getting them all in a fire sale! Yay, capitalism consolidation!

I’m gonna wait a day or two to make sure nobody else has any suggestions before I submit. I’ll post my final version if it changes in any significant way, & confirm submission when I do.

I’m strongly leaning toward including my actual name as an indication of how seriously I take this, but I’m not sure it’s worth the risk - both of tying it to my screenname (which goes back at least a quarter century for me on various sites), and the risk of inviting IRL retribution. I know it’s unlikely to make any real difference in what the assholes running things currently are likely to do, but I’d also rather not give them an easy excuse to be dismissive of my input. Any thoughts on that?

Ugh! Didn’t know. Yeah, that’s a move I could get behind in light of that. Unfortunately, according to the Deadline article he’s already committed to “lending his voice” even though he wasn’t physically there for the announcement.

I couldn’t replace the launcher on my Onn Google TV box (the model with the built-in Google Home Mini), unless there’s some way of doing it via ADB? This is why I prefer Android vs Google TV, but if that’s only the case for the Onn device, then that may broaden my options significantly.

Below is my comment so far, made without much thought (outside of trying to keep it clean & vaguely respectable) because this administration & its supporters have depressed me so much already that I just typed what first came to mind. Constructive input is welcome because I’m not trans (but dammit we’re ALL human beings deserving of respect and fair treatment), so I’m not sure if I’m screwing something up, or should be taking a less emotional approach for better effect. When does the unjustifiable hate stop?! When do people stop interfering in the lives of others that have no effect upon their own? When does reason, logic, sanity, fairness, compassion, respect, etc start to matter to this administration? There is NO reasonable justification for this nonsense. There is more justification for making a registry for those hating people who are different from them because there is PLENTY of historical evidence demonstrating that THEY are the REAL threat to society.
