I'm sure there's a few of them out there, considering how much money is being spent, but I'm mostly interested in the idea that the ballroom is actually just a lid for a massive multi-layer basement data center for the president to do fucked up classified things with. I got it from a conspiracy theory youtuber that recently had a one hit wonder and I was curious if this was a silly niche conspiracy theory or if I've just been living under a rock and it-is-known

      :this:

The gaudy building guy is doing gaudy building renovations. All the nefarious things people are imagining already exist, have existed for decades, and were constructed with bipartisan consensus.

I rule it out because Trump is just a big ol' dullard queen and he lives for shit like gilded ballrooms he can host in and brag to his billionaire buddies about how Rob Reiner wouldn't have been invited if he was alive.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure they’re renovating the bunker while they prepare to do more madman shit.

I'd bet good money that there is also at least one underground bunker somewhere in D.C. that isn't disclosed to the public. The national security state is uber paranoid about continuity of government

I kind of assumed without even thinking about it that like 90% of DC's land area has some kind of bunker, tunnel, or other secret infrastructure under it. It just comes naturally, that's how paranoid I assume they are.

Even if it's disclosed it's usually not talked about much or widely known. Sometimes I just online search for "<institution> bunker" and you just find stuff nobody ever talks about.

Like people and media were acting like it was a major national security risk that Palestine activists were able to paint something on the floor at the national TV station (they just signed up for a guided your lol). But obviously the TV station has a bunker to fullfil it's responsibilities to inform the public during an emergency, it's just nothing anyone ever talks about.

President Donald Trump retreated to the PEOC during the night of May 29, 2020, at the beginning of the George Floyd protests.

Why aren't people dragging him more about that?

I've seen a lot of jokes about congress persons being afraid during Jan 6th.

Information warfare chaff. Renaming the JFK center for arts, the entire thing is to fill up the airwaves with distractions to keep eyes off Epstein and the genocide in Gaza not to mention the absolutely insane murdering of fishermen in Venezuela.

Nothing that clever or complicated. But I have a feeling it'll never get finished. I think it's a grift, just a money laundering scheme where federal funds go to private companies and then back into our big wet boy's big wet bank account. And it'll possibly end up getting used as a bargaining chip whereby companies get deals to consult on the construction in exchange for favours.

you're talking about conspiracy theories, not conspiracies

sorry I know I'm being pedantic but this one I think is particularly bad because real conspiracies DO happen all the time, we don't need the word "conspiracy" to automatically mean speculation.

I don't normally get involved in this kind of stuff. It was thanks to a random youtube algo selection so uh... guess that's what I get for not picking my own videos. blob-no-thoughts

      I fixed it!

people who think they are so smart to figure out complicated schemes they have no direct knowledge of or contact with.... who don't even bother to learn the meaning of the words they use to describe said schemes.

Building a ballroom just seems like something Trump would do. The idea that there isn't already a bunker under the white house seems a bit ridiculous but I wouldn't rule out that they made some expansions.

But why would you put a data center under the white house? Sounds like nonsense. There is probably a bit of IT, but like at the scale of an office, a few racks.

Not sure anyone really cares about the above ground structures when a whole complex exists below it. Unless they needed to retrofit a retractable roof for some sort of giant mech.

I feel like they didn’t need an orbital space laser to take out liberty prime. You could, potentially tie up its feet like an AT-AT, or you could tell it the capitalist paradise doesn’t exist and its head will explode.
