Books for Fun!

These aren’t what we normally review.

booksIMG_6241

But I have to say, I was thrilled to find them at the thrift store for $1 each and I’ve enjoyed looking through them and reading stories I haven’t read in years.

They even have dust covers!

The Blue Fairy book by Andrew Lang was published in 1959.

The Red Fairy book was published in 1960.

The stories are a joy to read and the illustrations are delightful.

How long has it been since you read wonderful classic stories like these?

(and how much longer can I stay in ‘fairyland’?)

A Fairy Tale Princess

That would be me. Well, that’s what I always dreamed of being….and still do.

And my dream came true when I met ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in my very own storybook.

When I took part in the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party HERE, I visited many of the other party goers.

I entered a giveaway at CASTLES N CROWNS FAIRY TALE PHOTOGRAPHY HERE and was one of the winners.

She designed this storybook adventure with an old photo of ME as the character that meets Alice.

Here’s what Tricia wrote, “In "Diane's Story: Diane Meets Alice", the little girl leaves her own black and white storybook world and enters the colorful Wonderland, where she meets Alice and her friends.”

Wishing you well with Fairy Tale Blessings, Tricia

“The Snow Queen” by Hans Christian Andersen

We went to a delightful presentation of ‘The Snow Queen’ at Sholom Park today!

PicMonkey Collage

It was a gorgeous day (a little overcast but in the 70s) and the actors gave their best performance.

It was fun to meet them and get some autographs!

PMIMG_0060

I even got to hold the robber’s sword!

Hello friends,

I'm your Vitameatavegamin girl.

Are you tired, run - down, listless?

Do you poop out at parties?

Are you unpopular?

The answer to all your problems is in this little bottle.
VITAMEATAVEGAMIN.

Vitameatavegamin contains Vitamins, Meat, Vegetables, and Minerals.

Yes, with Vitameatavegamin, you can spoon your way to health.
All you do is take a great big tablespoonful after every meal.
Mmmmmm.... It's so tasty, too! Tastes just like candy!

So why don't you join all the thousands of happy peppy people
and get a great big bottle of Vitameatavegamin tomorrow!

That's Vita-meata-vegamin! (wink)

Here's the long version on YouTube....well worth watching!

I Love Lucy "Vitameatavegamin" !

I go from feeling like I am simplifying my life
to being totally overwhelmed.
Does anyone else live with guilt?
I feel like I can never do enough
or keep up with everything that is important to me.
Anyone else have the same problem?
Do you think we need some Vitameatavegamin?
Or does watching old I Love Lucy shows help?
We watched "My Favorite Brunette" with Bob Hope
last night and it was funny.

Have a wonderful Friday.
I need to make a list of "Things to do".
That always helps! lol
