In a defeat for the Trump administration, the U.S. Court of International Trade said all “importers of record” were “entitled to benefit” from the ruling against the sweeping tariffs.
I guess nothing. Maybe the consumers could try to sue the US gov for tariff refunds for the goods purchased directly from Chinese and other platforms but I doubt they’d refund the costs “offloaded” by the domestic companies
Why did you put offloaded in quotations? Most companies don’t just eat tariffs, they pass it off onto the consumer. If they’re getting a refund, they should pass those savings off to the consumer too, but you know they won’t. They’ll just pocket it like the scum they are and get paid twice. Its a scam and they should be held accountable.
Only company I heard of who is returning it is “cards against humanity”. They have said they will offer refunds to all consumers who have paid increases prices due to tariffs.
What about consumers that companies offloaded the costs to?
