Yeah lol, that’s way more mental gymnastics than just adding/subtracting 12. I dont even bother with the whole 12, I just add and subtract 2 and my mind kind of deals with the extra 10 hours I’m too lazy to deal with.

1·4 days agoIts a great thing to have, totally. But if this was happening with the primary reason of it being a great thing to have we would be seeing similiar sights in other, developed places too.

6·4 days agoLol this is not a case of Syria being just very environmentally concious and deciding to get far ahead in the solar game. Its a case of not having reliable electricity infrastructure so solar is the only and neccesary option.
Is this ideal? No. Is it good that a lot of people are successfully relying on solar energy? Yes, and developed countries need to catch up.

2·4 days agoIts to funny how whenever a Mozilla brand related thing happens its clarified that the firefox logo is not being changed. In no other context of a product receiving a new mascot would a clarification be needed that the logo is still the same.
I like how the hexahedron is labeled “Regular” too

1·6 days agoIts the best we have, given that our standart of “good” is privacy and open-source etc. Otherwise Firefox is just not a great browser. Especially on mobile. And Mozilla keeps making it kinda worse for privacy bit by bit. There isnt really any reason for someone who doesnt care about privacy to usw firefox.

3·11 days agoYes but this doesn’t mean make taking stealth pictures of strangers and posting them on the Internet cool. Maybe the person being taken a picture of just doesnt like being taken pictures of. I feel like the userbase of lemmy should understand this.

My mind cannot comprehend how grown people can be so incredibly immature. Like… Please. They must have more neurons in their brain than is an acceptable amount to display this behavior.

Exactly. Digital ID verification is in no way comparable to physical ID verification.
