14 months is ridiculous. I mean sending him back would be a decent punishment. I’ve been here for 32 years and there’s no way I feel I could survive back over there. It’s not hell on earth but there are so many things that would disturb my well being.
He would get some more publicity upon his arrival too. Anyway, let’s hope Karma prevails.
Oh and while we’re on the subject of eternal things, if we can’t have forever weekends can we please have forever school holidays. The traffic is vastly superior at the moment. I thought it was due to the fuel thing, but then realised that it’s due to schools.

As an Englishman that’s lived here for decades…no scratch that. As a decent human being that’s been on the planet for decades, I really don’t know, just keep him in solitary for the rest of his days, chop off two or three dangly things, drop him in Sydney Harbour covered in tuna oil, drop him in the middle of the Simpson desert with only a bottle of antifreeze to drink. I can think of many other things than just sending him back to the UK.
That just shifts the problem like sending a pervert priest to another church. However, he doesn’t deserve to live in this beautiful country simply because he " has connections here". Yeah we’ve seen what he does to certain “connections”.
Maybe this exposure will grant him a certain amount of publicity that will ruin his life if it’s not already ruined enough. What a piece of filth. Sick bastard.

I saw a bunch of birds ( some kind of gull, about ten of them, ok a flock, but is it a flock when they’re not flying ? I dunno. ) hanging around at the waters edge at the end of the car ferry ramp. I thought to myself, well they obviously haven’t seen that YouTube clip where the snapping turtle comes out and grabs a gull, or was it a pigeon ? Then I thought well maybe they know that snapping turtles don’t live in saltwater. Then I wondered if snapping turtles do live in saltwater. Then I decided that this was far too much thinking for 4:17 am.

Uuuggghhh. That alarm going off at 3:40 was certainly not welcome. I mean it never is but after four days off it disturbed the soul even more.

Oh mate the desire to have a four day weekend came to my mind on Sunday too. Nice that you got to relax, I did that too. Got a few small things done on Sunday. Sitting down with Jamieson’s outside and resting by mid afternoon was nice.
Oh bloody hell. Yeah that would freak me out. I’ve only seen a few snakes in the 32 years that I’ve been in Aus. The last one was a carpet about 7 metres from where I am right now.

At this point I’ve bought 1 bottle of half decent Bubbly ready for the big day. I drank that when I bought a block of land in October. Then I bought a bottle of Gentleman Jack, I thought that was cool as it’s American. Drank that at Xmas.
I changed it up a bit hoping for some Irish good luck. Some special Irish Whiskey. Bushmills. Bloody drank that for my birthday last month.
I’ve got a bottle of Jameson’s on order. Fourth times a charm.

I believe that snakes shouldn’t be released too far away or they will perish.
A bloke at work years ago told me a cool story. He went way way up north to visit a mate. It was either Cooktown ( before bitumen ) but I think even a lot further, I just can’t recall.
Anyway he gets to the area or campground where his mate was staying. Absolutely pissing down. He finds the ranger and asks where “Bill” ? lives.
The ranger steps outside to direct him, still pissing down. He looks at this blokes ute and asks if he had just got here in that ( I mean of course ) then asks if he drove past or through "such and such massive puddle " down the road kinda thing. Yes of course. Ranger says he’s pulled out three 4X s that day already. Bloke was in an ordinary Falcon Ute. He just drove right up on the side of the puddle ( probably a lake really…) and got past it.
Common sense isn’t so common, and yeah too many people head out into places that they’re unaware of the dangers that are possible or the skills that could come in handy.

See as much as prison, corporal punishment or whatever isn’t simply about punishment, it’s about deterrent.
I have read that “deterrent” doesn’t actually stop certain crimes from happening. Say like impulsive murder, and of course if everybody was a decent human we would have no crime at all.
He raped a nine year old FFS ! He full well knew what he was doing. He deserves to be punished harshly. And “revenge” !?!?!! The nine year old whose life is totally messed up isn’t doing the sentencing ! That’s my opinion anyway. Pretty solid one too.
