A professional drummer, drum teacher, and a lover of progressive rock, jazz rock, and fusion—all this and more—is Jonhatan Tenerini, a musician, a professional I've already discussed in my interview on these pages (read the interview here). When passion, connection, and professionalism come together, the result is an album like "Noisy Shadows," entirely instrumental, primarily progressive rock but open to other influences, including jazz rock and fusion. Eleven enjoyable tracks, excellently performed and rich in color and nuance.
"The Hole" is a progressive rock that's linear and simply constructed, with compelling instrumentals. Perhaps Camel were a source of inspiration, and "Noisy Shadows," the title track, could be a great soundtrack for a mystery adventure film. A more complex instrumental sound is "Berbero," which also draws influences from Middle Eastern folklore. Another excellent track is "End of the Line," full of ideas and nuances, and "Interludio," shorter but enveloping and mysterious. On "Stains," Jonhatan Tenerini lets his drums loose more, and "Yokai" could be the soundtrack to a horror film. The CD closes with "4P.I.E.," another captivating and compelling song. A truly captivating album, rich in sounds and nuances, worth listening to over and over again to appreciate.

Batterista professionista, insegnante di batteria, appassionato di progressive rock, jazz rock e fusion, tutto questo ed altro è Jonhatan Tenerini, un musicista, un professionista di cui ne ho già parlato nella mia intervista apparsa su queste pagine (leggi qui l’intervista) e quando c’è la passione, il feeling e la professionalità, il risultato è un album come “Noisy Shadows”, totalmente strumentale, principalmente di progressive rock ma che apre ad altre contaminazioni tra cui il jazz rock e la fusion. Undici brani piacevoli, ottimamente interpretati e ricchi di colori e sfumature.
“The Hole” è un progressive rock anche lineare e costruito semplicemente e con parti strumentali molto avvincenti e forse i Camel sono stati fonte d’ispirazione e “Noisy Shadows”, la title-track, potrebbe essere un ottimo brano per una colonna sonora di un film misterioso e d’avventura. Un sound con partiture strumentali più articolate è “Berbero” con anche influenze del folklore mediorientale. Ottimo brano è anche “End Of The Line”, con molte idee e dalle variegate sfumature e “Interludio”, più breve ma avvolgente e misterioso. In “Stains” Jonathan Tenerini si lascia andare di più con la sua batteria e colonna sonora di un film horror potrebbe essere “Yokai”. Chiude il CD “4P.I.E.”, altra song accattivante e trascinante. Un album molto affascinante, ricco di suoni e sfumature, da ascoltare e riascoltare per apprezzarlo sempre di più.
