about

Melkor is a Dark Ambient - Drone - Atmospheric - Cinematic project and the virtual nickname for the man behind it, Behrad Fountain, an interdisciplinary artist and philosophy scholar from Iran. The objective of Melkor is to demonstrate the most profound existential aspects and philosophical foundations of existence through the language of music. Additionally, Melkor embarks on conceptual and experimental expeditions to dark spaces, the Blackness, and the origins of creation.

Enter the Enigmatic Soundscape of UDKRAXSHA: Persian artist Melkor Unveils a Musical Odyssey Through Pantheon Black

Embark on a journey beyond time and space with Melkor's latest album, "UDKRAXSHA," an immersive sonic experience that transcends boundaries and delves into the depths of existential inquiry. Comprising ten tracks of atmospheric, ambient, drone, and cinematic compositions, "UDKRAHSHA" invites listeners to explore the enigmatic realm of Pantheon Black, a concept rooted in ancient lore and brought to life through Behrad Fountain's visionary musical project.

Drawing from the depths of the black tongue, "UDKRAXSHA" is more than just an album—it's a testament to Melkor's mastery in evoking a sense of magnitude and excellence that predates our modern era. Each track is a sonic exploration, weaving together intricate layers of sound to create a rich tapestry of emotions and concepts. From ethereal drones to haunting melodies, Melkor's music transcends genre limitations, offering listeners a truly transcendental experience.

The term UD-KRAXSHA is derived from the black tongue and refers to Pantheon Black.

About the Blackness, there is no need for an introduction. It is present everywhere and has encompassed all of our nature, as well as the Creator. That very extensive layer around our entire world of creation which can contain thousands billions of entities with their very existence in itself and yet there be vacancy. Blackness macrocosm is flowing throughout our whole universe, easily palpable for Blackness offspring. The greatest blessing there is the feasibility to stay in the depth of silence and see the colors.

Pantheons (houses of contemplation) are many, but there is a singular one that has no name and is referred to by its title, UDKRAXSHA (Pantheon Black), which is the very monastery of the great majesty of the Blackness. In the previous eras, so far from the time that we are passing through, there were kings, lore, esoterica, and myth. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it. Behold, there are some special particles of the Pantheon Black and a revelation of a long-held secret. For those who can be seen by the majesties.

"Melkor leads us into the most remote realms of Dark-Ambient and Drone. The compositions are meticulously and precisely constructed, where deep, immersive soundscapes merge with droning textures to evoke a sensation that is both captivating and unsettling. The cold, minimal tones give rise to an icy production that reaches moments of true apotheosis. This is a profoundly intriguing project that has completely convinced me with its first full-length release — a name to remember and to follow closely." ~ Side-Line Magazine

"Udkraxsha, the latest release from Melkor, is a 10 track album of stunning cinematic dark ambient / drone. And with each track doing something a little different, listening to this album is a truly rewarding experience, in which you’ll find yourself discovering something new each time you play it. This is an album that will be enjoyed by all fans of the dark ambient genre – and I strongly recommend you check it out. Glorious!" ~ This Is Darkness

"Drawing from the depths of the black tongue, Udkraxsha is more than just an album - it's a testament to Melkor's mastery in evoking a sense of magnitude and excellence that predates our modern era. It's a portal to another realm - a sonic odyssey that challenges listeners to expand their perceptions and embrace the unknown. With its intricate soundscapes and thought-provoking themes, Udkraxsha is a testament to Melkor's commitment to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression and exploring the darkest corners of the human psyche. Each of the ten Udkraxsha's tracks is a sonic exploration, weaving together intricate layers of sound to create a rich tapestry of emotions and concepts. From ethereal drones to haunting melodies, Melkor's music transcends genre limitations, offering listeners a truly transcendental experience." ~ Terra Relicta

"The sun always shines on the other side. One thing is certain, however, definitely not with Melkor. On the new album by the Iranian/Persian philosopher and musician Behrad Fountain aka Melkor (not to be confused with the similar project from Germany), not even the odd ray of sunshine gets lost. Here, on “Udkraxsha” (“ The term UD-KRAXSHA is derived from the black tongue and refers to Pantheon Black “ ), the gate to Mordor opens (where Melkor aka Feanor Morgoth also wreaks havoc), with “The Eye” above us and watching our every move.'Lord Of The Dark', 'Tyranny Conspiracy', 'Dethroned Legacy', the titles of the dark ambient works of gloomy horror show the way, from which there is no escape once you have taken it. Shadows become monsters, these become black monoliths towering high above the sky, and you are in the middle of a film that you don't really want to watch that intensely. This extremely intense mental anguish, roaring straight from hell, lasts an hour, after which you are either cleansed of all evil and redeemed or a mental wreck... All colors black! Highly atmospheric and disturbing - a sound to rule them all..." ~ Betreutes Proggen
