Hanselman pointed to a Microsoft blog post noting that, starting in October, the company began requiring “mandatory account verification for all partners in the Windows Hardware Program,” which also covers certifying software drivers. Last month, the company updated the post to say: “Accounts that did not successfully complete account verification and received a Rejected verification status have been suspended from the Windows Hardware Program, and submissions from these accounts are no longer permitted.”

So they didn’t hand over their blood and urine samples to Microsoft so they don’t get to be developers anymore

This is another example of me learning in my older age that no matter what good is attempted, people will use it the wrong way. It’s good that we attempted to stop or slow nepotism. However people will always be horrible, and they only see it as extra steps to get to what they want.

Saw Mary Jane on Broadway a couple years back, staring the phenomenal Rachel McAdams. It was good, it was very sad, and heartwrenching, and McAdams did a phenomenal job. She has a ton of range, hope she returns to the theater sometime.

For over a decade I worried about shit like this from high school onward. I worried that the car I bought was a woman’s car. Absolutely stupid what society tries to teach us, and look at the men who obsess over shit like that. They obsess so much they pour 200k into a truck to try and convince everyone that they’re manly, they destroy their health eating way more mean than anyone should, and they destroy their relationships because they try to define “roles” in relationships. Fuck allll of that. As long as what you do doesn’t harm anyone else, then I say I’m all for it.

I’m a full on swiftie, and I am not ashamed of that at all. People like different things. People should be allowed to like different things. Judging someone because of a music preference is so much annoying than the person who likes it, and says a lot more about the person who cannot simply move along and ignore the thing they don’t like. No they just haaaave to say something.

I then mention that I also have been a long time classic rock fan. I’ve seen The Who, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Styx (awesome show btw), and so so so many others live and they’re all good. And I also went to Eras, and it was amazing. God, thank you for this place to dump this, god “but but but”. No. Shut up and let people enjoy things. Wasn’t until I was older that I thought, hey wait a minute. Other animals see way better than us, and there are many animals that see worse kind of proving the whole trial and error thing, and then you also realize we need corrective lenses because our vision fails and there are cataracts and lazy eyes and colorblind and then blind people. Maybe it’s not such perfect creation after all but instead a bunch of trial and error over millions of years

As someone who had to care for their SO as they vomited multiple times after they were roofied at a bar, from the bottom of my heart, go fuck yourself.

I remember the guy who did it, fucking coward saw my fiance, even saw the ring, and did it when she set her drink down for less than a minute while I was in line for the bathroom. As soon as I walked back he immediately walked away, and I had to care for my fiance while she vomited multiple times, INCLUDIING IN HER SLEEP, she was confused, scared, and in the morning was horrified that she didn’t remember. She had only two drinks that night, and I remember almost calling 911.

Fuck everybody who even thinks about doing something so horrible, and I shudder at what could have happened if I had decided not to go out with her and her work friends that night. Fuck guys who roofie people, and the right after fuck guys who think joking about them is funny.
