    Night shift is calmer and easier on many jobs who have them, not all though. This is more fitting for the people arriving at 6pm watching the day shift people being dead from the crazy day.

    Not really. There’s services and industry that function just fine 24h a day.

    Day shift often arrives at 6-7am, thus they wake 4-5am. Some have to get up as early as 3am.

    Plus, night shift differentials can be as much as another $15k/yr.

      People at the end of their shift/day are more exhausted than those who have just woken up refreshed from rest.
