This is a song about Nazis.

My mom says I shouldn’t say "Nazi" unless I’m talking about the historical "National Sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter Partei"; otherwise I should say "ultra-nationalistic, hardline conservative, religiously fanatical fascists". It’s a bit long.

The truth is that the word “Nazi” is indeed used inflationarily. And that can be disrespectful towards the victims of the historic NSDAP. And I definitely don’t want to be disrespectful.

So it’s important to be clear what I mean when I say “Nazi”. I don’t mean “Nazis” about grammar or punctuality or consumption or art. I mean the people that’ll hate you for the way you were born.

They can all go straight to hell.
