A mysterious black fog has covered the skies, plunging the city of Dreadthorn into an endless night of darkness.
But life must go on. After recently moving into a cheap apartment in the city, you establish yourself as a therapist, taking on clients to keep yourself afloat.
Dreadthorn's residents are changing in strange ways. Help them through therapy, but remember to report those showing strange symptoms, or face the consequences.

For being only a demo, this was absolutely amazing!
Solid story writing to boot as we talk to clients and get to understand them. The story had me really immersed in the game world trying to understand and piece together these clients lives. I managed to get the ending which takes a hour or so to get to so I got to probably experience a vast majority of the games story writing, not bad! The graphics were well done, the mechanics were well done as well, no issues there. Overall, this game is super promising and I cannot wait to see what the full game has in store! Made a video on it.As an actual therapist I am very excited to play this and I usually hate how clinicians are represented in media. I will return with my thoughts after I test it out.

I like the game, I really do. But I feel at times its very unfair. On my first playthrough I had killed the guy with the doll just for it to say he wasn't evil. The details for shrouded seem very hard at times to confuse with someones base personality. When I replay, what do you know, the guy with the doll really is a shrouded. It feels like I can't call it out early even though I know hes shrouded and its so "time" picky to where you have to report them only when you get a ton of sufficient evidence, but if you take too long to get that evidence, they get away. If you report them too early, you killed an innocent person. It's very annoying and upsetting that way. I do really like the game and I do want to restate that, it's a really good concept and I liked the playthrough of it I had. Another thing is I wish the news station had voice acting or some of the characters, but I don't know if that'll be in full release or not. But yeah, at the moment it feels a bit unfair to play.
Thanks so much much for playing the game. I would like to point out that it's very important to remember that the advice you give the client can make them Shrouded too. That's why it feels like sometimes, if you report them too early they are still human, because you hadn't taken certain paths. When they turn, they will exhibit the symptoms. There is also a factor where by certain characters can have quite a complex personality, like the one you mentioned, so they hard to figure out.
We are still tweaking and improving the Shrouded system in the updates to come.
You haven't even seen nothing yet, of the Shrouded so BUCKLE UP and STAY TUNED!

Thank you for the reply! Super excited for the full games release. I will admit at times I forget here and there that the advice can also turn them shrouded due to the fact I'm trying to please a client (or someone close to a client). Especially with the doll, a lot of times I can be focused on trying to persuade the guy to not keep it and help the wife. So I do admit, that's a bit on me. Thank you again and I'm super excited for the full game. :)

I played The Dreadthorn Therapist demo and really enjoyed its unusual concept and noir visual style. I even called the mysterious enforcer on a client because his strange smile made me believe he was corrupted—only to discover that he was completely innocent! That mistake became one of the most memorable moments of my playthrough.
